The brief

Phumelela supports people dealing with mental-health challenges and gender-based violence. The old site made people dig for help. The new one had to feel calm and safe, and get someone to the right contact fast.

What we did

• Mapped what each visitor needs first, from someone in crisis to a partner or donor
• Rebuilt the structure so help is one tap away on every page
• Designed a calm, warm look that stays easy to read on a phone
• Built the site so the team can keep it up to date themselves
